If there are members of the congregation or community that you know are in need of pastoral care, please inform a Council Member.
Good Samaritan Fund
This fund is a way for St. John's to reach out to those in
our community who are struggling. Each month there is a new recipient of the fund.
Please be sure to make donations to the
Good Samaritan Fund to give a helping
hand to those in need.
What is a Good Samaritan? Someone who helps another in
need for compassionate motives. A person who voluntarily helps or sympathy in times of trouble.
A Good Samaritan is YOU...
WE CARE MEALS
Members of St. John's prepare and deliver meals twice every month (the 2nd & 4th Saturday) for residents of Sinking Valley in need.

Directions from Huntingdon:
Rt. 22 West to Water Street- St. take 453 North for 4 miles. Turn left to Arch Springs (Windy Hill Furniture will be on your left after turn). Proceed 2 miles then turn left onto Kettle Road. Go 4 miles and turn right onto Golf Course Road. Proceed 100 yards then turn right on Stevens Hill Road. Stay on road 1 mile - Church is on your right.
Directions from Tyrone:
Rt. 453 South for 2 miles then right turn onto Silver Barn Road. Travel app 5 miles to cross roads. Go straight at cross road onto Burke Road. Follow road until you get to a "T" and turn right onto Morrow Road. Follow road for 1.5 miles. The church is on the left.
Directions from Altoona:
I99 North to exit 41- Take Skelp Mountain Road (over the mountain). Then right turn onto Golf Course Road. Travel 1/2 mile to stop sign. Go straight onto Crawford Road. Follow road to Morrow Road. Turn right- church on left.
